BUBBLES IN THE WIND

The idea behind this project was to make the photos look like stills from a movie. A lot of us pretend we’re in a movie sometimes, especially when we’re listening to music whilst walking along the road, and I wanted to actualise some of my visions of what a movie about me would be like - at this moment in my life at least.

It was influenced partially by the way pieces of movies are removed from their context and shared around Tumblr as compact images or animations and presented as stand alone pieces for people to cling onto and wrap their hearts around. I considered adding subtitles, but I didn’t want to push my own words onto the viewer, and I was concerned that subtitles could easily make my images quite contrived.
